An older lady with slow mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She is fairly independent for her age, but a little practical help would be appreciated, such as picking up shopping, cooking (for/with) and sharing a few meals (up to four each week), vaccuming, laundry, carrying heavier items, accompanying on a few walks, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished single bedroom with its own bathroom, and shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is conveniently located In Ilford, Essex, just 15 minutes’ walk from Gants hill Station (Central Line), with lots of nearby bus routes and close to a park.

The lady is originally from Punjab and speaks Punjabi and Hindi; this would suit a Sharer with a similar background for communication. She is a vegetarian and enjoys Indian cuisine. She enjoys going for short walks in the local park, Tai Chi, her garden and watching TV, especially the Asian channels. She has two supportive and fairly local sons who pop in to see her regularly. Please note it is an alcohol-free home.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker.
