Spacious Double Room in Charming Thatched Cottage

I have a lovely double room available in my chocolate box thatched cottage in the beautiful village of Monxton, just a 5 minute drive from Andover. Perfectly located for those working in Basingstoke, Salisbury, Winchester, Marlborough, Newbury/Hungerford – all within a 30min radius – and just an hour by train to London.

About the room & house:
🛏️ The room comes furnished with a bed and mirror which will stay, with a chest of drawers available if needed. There’s no built in wardrobe currently, but you're welcome to bring a hanging rail or use the one in the unoccupied third bedroom.

🚿 You'll have your own private shower bathroom (separate from my ensuite but not attached to the room).

🏡 The house has plenty of storage, a study with space for a desk, a medium sized garden, a garage, parking space, a spacious living room, a separate dining room, and an additional downstairs toilet. I also have a gardener and a cleaner.

🚗 Off road parking available (parking on both sides of the house).

🍽️ The kitchen is fully equipped, but you're welcome to bring your own appliances if preferred. I can definitely make room for that.

The area & living here:
🐾 I share the house with my two older cats (ages 14 & 13), who are friendly and well trained and LOVE visitors. Happy for you to bring animals as well, (although they hate dogs, so no dogs).

👩‍💻 I work from home as a freelancer, so I am around pretty much all the time during the week, but spend a lot of my weekends up in London.

🌿 The area is *wonderfully* quiet and peaceful, situated on a country lane with minimal traffic – ideal for someone seeking to live somewhere peaceful.

🍻 A local pub in the next village called The Hawk at Amport, is nearby (about a 10min walk), along with beautiful countryside walks to surrounding villages.
