Description
Large double room in Brixton central (next to the market, 4 mins walk to Tube - Victoria Line)
Rent (pcm) £1,183 inclusive of bills.
Tenancy period: 1 year.
Notice period: 1 month (both ways)
I am the landlord.
One reference required from the very latest landlord.
A deposit is required and is 5 weeks work of rent, so a total of £1365.
Access: The property if a full house, on 4 floors.
The room for rent is in the attic, top floor.
The property is a 4-storey house I own, located at the Brixton end of Coldharbour Lane.
Basement: kitchen (newly renovated with all comms, inc. dishwasher, microwave, large fridge-freezer); large bathroom (with shower room, jacuzzi, laundry room (washer and dryer)
Raised ground floor: 2 sitting rooms with TV area; small bathroom
1 floor: my bedroom and my office
2 floor: your room (the large one); a small, single room for a teenage foster son I do respite for. On this note: you have to be willing to be DBS-checked by Lambeth Council (they will pay for it) so you can live under the sae roof as my foster son (when he’s here, roughly 1 weekend a month)
The house was built in 1890s and is a piece of history (Grade II listed). It had high ceilings and all the characters you’d expect. It’s a 5 mins walk from the Brixton tube station (Victoria Line) and a 2 mins walk to Loughborough Junction (overground).
Your room is very spacious, furnished; couples are not allowed. There is a garden that I take great pride in tending to. There is no additional storage for bikes.
What makes it awesome is that it’s a very large house, it’s impossibly central, it's historic and it’s quiet and very well kept.
I do have a cockapoo dog, who’s 2 and a half; he’s hypoallergenic and doesn’t shed, and he’s the friendliest, kindest, gentlest soul you’ll meet.
I live here, and I take pride in making a home. I would like to live with someone who is looking to also respect and love the house, the dog, be independent.
If you’re interested, please reach out on here and tell me something about you. Ideally, I'd live with a queer male, aged 30+. I’ll respond as quickly as possible and tell you if I think we’re a good fit or not.
If we are, we can agree for you to come over and check out the place.
I’m looking to have the room rented out by October 1, 2024.
Thank you, and I can’t wait to hear from you,
Davide
