Description
Sadly, I’m moving out of my lovely room in Brixton following an unexpected redundancy. I’ve absolutely loved living here and couldn’t ask for a better location, with so much to do right on the doorstep.
The location
The house is tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the heart of Brixton, giving you the best of both worlds: a peaceful place to live with everything nearby.
• Brixton Underground: 5-minute walk
• Clapham High Street Overground - around 15-minute walk
• Buses: Excellent connections from Brixton Road to pretty much anywhere in London
• Parks: Brockwell Park is around 15 minutes away
• Local life: Loads of great pubs, restaurants, clubs and cafés all within easy reach.
The room
The room is a good size, on the second floor, with a large window that lets in plenty of natural light. It also stays lovely and warm throughout the day.
The house and housemates
Everyone is really friendly and sociable. We all have our own lives, but enjoy having a chat in the kitchen or living room, so it’s a nice balance of doing your own thing and having a bit of company around the house. Everyone is in their mid to late 20s so a new housemate would ideally be between 22 - 32
You’ll be sharing with three others:
Lucile, who works for the Home Office; Max, an environmental consultant; and Ollie, a history teacher.
Max works from home two days a week, usually in the living room, so ideally we’re looking for someone whose working-from-home routine would be similar.
The house is a Victorian terrace property with a good-sized kitchen, a shared living room and a garden. There’s also a bathroom on the ground floor.
The kitchen is well equipped with a four-hob gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and kettle. The living room has a TV and two large sofas, making it a great space to relax and hang out together.
Bills are £130 pcm - this includes; council tax, water, gas and electricity and broadband. (Council Tax band: E)
The rent is £880 pcm so £1,010 a month with the bills.
Availability
I'm looking to move out on the 15th so any time from the 16th November onwards
If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch. I’d be very happy to show you around and introduce you to the house.
Best,
Joe
