🌟Friendly Flat in Clapham Junction / Battersea🌟

Hey folks, our flatmate Jake is moving home to Wales, so a bright and spacious room has opened up in our Clapham Junction flat! The contract runs until the end of April and we're hoping to renew then.

The room:
Fully furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. It looks onto the garden and has a beautiful bay window. Jake has offered to sell his desk for £60 to whoever takes over the room, if you fancy it for your work from home set-up.

The flat:
Three bedrooms sharing one bathroom with a shower / bath (and one of the most unique sinks you’ve seen??) The kitchen has a huge fridge and a big gas range, which is ideal if you like to cook! We have loads of storage, there is no fighting over fridge shelves!

We have a living room at the front which is perfect for hosting with two big sofas. We have a telly and love watching Bake Off, Traitors and Drag Race on week nights when we're in together.

We have a lovely garden at the back that gets a lot of sun after midday. It comes complete with some outdoor furniture and a bbq. We hosted a few BBQs over the summer and are looking forward to using the garden again when the weather is warmer!

The rent is £1000 a month and bills (council tax, wifi, electricity, & gas) come to £100.

Location: couldn’t be better!! 10 mins walk to Clapham Junction station, which has trains to Victoria in 7 mins and Waterloo in 10 mins. 15-20 mins walk to Clapham Common tube station (Northern Line). Next to a bus stop with buses every 6 mins into Peckham, Stockwell and central! We’re also across the road from Santander bikes if you prefer to cycle. Lidl and Asda are 5-10 mins walk in one direction, and Sainsbury’s and Tesco's are 5-10 mins in the other direction. We’re 10 mins from Northcote Road with loads of bars, cafes, and charity shops.

Flatmates:
you will be sharing with Alex (she / her) and Rene (they / she), we’re 24/25 and young professionals. Alex is up for anything arty - cinema, the Tate’s latest exhibition, book group, but also loves a night out and a boogie. She runs and does yoga. Rene loves learning languages and goes to dance classes. They're also into the gym and enjoy weight-lifting and spin class. Alex works for TK Maxx in merchandising (discount included!) and Rene works in a wind power start up.

We like catching up over a cup of tea in the evening and watching telly together. We have separate friend groups, but sometimes go to drag events or club nights. We have friends over for dinner most weeks, and once a month or so host something bigger- this month it is a Halloween party! In January, we will host a Burn's Night as Alex is Scottish. We have also hosted BBQs, pres, board game nights and movie nights. We’re looking for someone that is a friend as well as flatmate and keen to join in with the fun:).

You:
We’re looking for someone who would fit in our sociable flat dynamic who is a similar age (22-27) and has similar interests. We are both queer and want to maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the flat. We also are looking for someone tidy who would be happy to take part in a flat cleaning rota. Young professionals preferred please, no students for council tax reasons.
