We're two guys in our late twenties looking for a third to join our flat in a lovely Victorian conversion on a quiet residential street between Clapham South and Balham. Clapham South station (Northern line) is a 7-minute walk, and Balham (Northern line and Southern rail) is 15 minutes.

The room
A cosy double (approx 3m × 2.7m) up in the loft, with a double bed, built-in wardrobe, under-bed storage, and room for a desk if you work from home. There's also extra loft storage for suitcases and the stuff you don't need every day. Nice wooden floors and a dormer window with views over the rooftops.

Big, light-filled living room with bay windows, shutters, a period fireplace and original floorboards
Large kitchen/diner with a range cooker, butler sink, loads of worktop space and a proper dining table
Two bathrooms: one with a walk-in shower, one with a bath/shower, so no morning queues

About us
We're both finance professionals and work from home a few days a week, so the flat is quiet and easy to work from during the day. Outside work we're a sociable pair, up for the occasional drink or watching the football, but we also respect each other's space. The room's available because our current housemate is moving out, so you'd be joining an established, settled flat.

Looking for
A tidy, friendly guy in a similar age range who's working full-time and wants a relaxed, sociable place to live. Working from home is no problem.
