Hello!
We are looking for a new flatmate to join our friendly, spacious house-share in Bow/Mile End. We are less than a 5 minute walk from Mile End tube station (Central, District and Hammersmith & City lines) and a 15 minute walk to Victoria Park.
The fully furnished four-bedroom flat is the top half of a Georgian house on the gorgeous Tredegar Square. We have a large, sunny sitting/dining room with floor to ceiling sash windows that overlook a small park in the middle of the square. The big kitchen is well stocked with cookware and crockery, plus a washing machine, dishwasher and two fridges. We have two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. We share an enormous back garden with three other flats who are very friendly neighbours.
The available double bedroom is quiet, airy, and comes furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table, and has a wash basin (and desk if needed). There's room for a desk and chair. The windows face out onto our garden, so it's really quiet and has lovely views.
The flat is owned by a private landlord, so no agents to deal with. He has a couple of handymen who are always very quick to respond to anything that needs fixing or replacing.
The location is great: 5 min walk to Mile End station, 15 min walk to Victoria Park, as well as lots of shops and cafés on nearby Roman Road and Mile End Road, and some lovely gastropubs on our doorstep.
The flatmates:
You will be sharing with two guys and two girls in our late twenties and early thirties. Daniel is American and is a designer, Kate is Scottish and works in fashion, and James and Deirdre are an Irish couple; James is a designer and Deirdre works in a university. Our departing flatmate is moving out after 3 years here to move in with a partner.
We all get along well and often share a drink or dinner etc. and hang out together but we also all have independent lives. We see our house as a home not just a flat share. We're looking for someone easy-going, tidy, considerate and gay-friendly :)
