Description
Hi, I’m renting one room in a great part of Stoke Newington. My name is Nick, the homeowner and take lodgers from time to time. We’re in a great location just around the corner from YogaHome and the Shakespeare pub. Away from traffic on the main north-south cycle route. Right now there are three of us here: Myself, Sully who works for a AI consultancy, Angie a lawyer who is moving on in a few weeks because she's bought a house nearby. The house is a three-bed and the two rooms rented are on the top floor with a shared bathroom. All the rooms are furnished. The house has a living room, kitchen-diner and leafy garden. It’s super quiet here, perfect if you have a stressful job or study and need to get away from it all. One advantage of a live-in-landlord is that I know the house well and I fix or replace anything required on time -this is all included in the rent; It’s a homely and well looked after space.
I’m looking for someone who is good at taking care of where they live, can help keep the place clean and lock up the house securely, who would be able to water plants while I’m away. Looking for a professional or a student who can supply solid references and demonstrate steady salary, or a grant/ stipend. Prefer someone who is mainly veggie -we don't cook a lot of meat. If this sounds like you, do please get in touch. It’s an amazing place to live for the right person.
The ideal length of let is something like 6 to 13 months and right now it’s for one person, available from 28th Feb onwards. The rental payment is made up of £900 actual monthly rent with £160 (ish) bills = coming to a total of £1060. There is also a shared cost of a twice-a-month cleaner to be added. Sully is also moving on in a month or so, so I may have a second larger room soon for £1110 per month, inclusive in the same way.
If you think you’re a good fit -do get in touch. Please write a few lines about who you are and what you’re looking for. An indication of your work/ work-from-home ratio is useful, preference would be given to someone who works at a workplace or university for more days than they work-from-home (like ideally 1 or 2 WFH!). It’s great to hear your interests, just if you want priority on a viewing, mention whether you’re a ‘safe pair of hands’, your reliability regards looking after a place, or speak to something from the advert. Sorry right now I’m unable to accommodate couples/ friends sharing together and even though I love animals, we can’t take pets here at the moment. Thanks for reading and look forward to hearing from you.
