Description
This a bright fully furnished double room in a sunny and homely garden flat. You'll be sharing with me (live-in landlord - female, 53) and a Monday-Friday lodger, also female.
We're reasonably sociable (not party animals), friendly and laid back, and we're looking for the same.
The flat is on a quiet and pretty residential street. There is unrestricted on-street parking currently (though this will be changing at some point in the next year or two)
It's in a great location for commuters heading into central London or south.
You'll be 4-5 minutes' walk to Streatham Common station (trains to Victoria/E Croydon/London Bridge) and 8 minutes to Streatham station (trains to Blackfriars and London St Pancras International). There are regular buses to Brixton (for nightlife and Victoria Line tube) and Balham (for the Northern Line).
Streatham Common itself is at the end of the road - nice for an after-work walk - and there are multiple supermarkets and gyms nearby catering for a range of budgets.
You must be happy around cats - there are two in the flat, and despite best efforts, their hair can get around.
The flat is generally very quiet, but the room looks out onto the street, and there are occasional noises from the apartment upstairs. I also work shifts so sometimes come in late at night or leave in the early morning. The room would therefore not suit somebody who is very sensitive to noise.
This is a room-only ad - there is no access to the living room (except by invitation - will explain at viewing visit)
The garden is in the process of being landscaped so looks pretty rubbish at the moment - but should be beautiful in spring/summer. If you like growing vegetables there will be a spot for you. Better still there will be a hammock for lounging in.
There is no cleaner apart from the flatmates.
Work, financial and previous landlord references (or similar) are required. We are really looking forward to meeting you!
