The room
On the top floor overlooking the garden, the room measures approximately 4.9 × 3 metres. It comes with a double bed, mirrored wardrobes, a large chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and lamps, plus a desk and chair for working from home.

The house and local area
The house is spread over three floors, with a large kitchen-diner and a separate living room on the ground floor, plus a garden with a patio.

The development is set around a community green with walking and running paths and a duck pond, giving you somewhere to stretch your legs before work or unwind afterwards.

For everyday shopping, there’s a Lidl, a Co-op and a Sainsbury’s Local nearby. There are also places for coffee or a bite to eat within walking distance, including The Railway pub beside Streatham Common station. Streatham High Road is accessible by bus for a wider choice of cafés, bars, restaurants and larger supermarkets.

Streatham Common and Mitcham Common offer more green space to explore. Private parking is available if required.

Transport
Streatham Common and Mitcham Eastfields stations are both in Zone 3, approximately a 15-minute walk or a short bus ride from the house. There’s a bus stop just outside the development, with connections to both stations.
• Northern line: Balham is one stop from Streatham Common, around four minutes by train.
• Victoria: around 18–20 minutes by train from Streatham Common.
• Blackfriars: around 25–26 minutes by direct train from Mitcham Eastfields.
• Night bus: the N133 connects London Bridge and Brixton with a stop just outside the development.

Who you’ll be sharing with
We’re two friendly professionals, both over 40, one working in the charity sector and the other in tech. We enjoy a chat and occasionally have friends over for dinner, a BBQ or Sunday brunch. We like the house to feel relaxed and welcoming, with everyone comfortable doing their own thing.

We’re looking for a considerate professional who wants a home to settle into, looks after the shared spaces and respects everyone’s privacy and routines. The room is for one person.
