Large room in Queer Tufnell Park home

Our lovely Flatemate is moving to Edinburgh, so that means that his very large double room is becoming available on November 1st

✨ We are clean and quiet flatmates looking for another clean and quiet flatmate ✨

You will be living with 2 other housmeates. Victor, 33, an academic from France, enjoys riding his bike to work and playing cute video games, and loves pubs. Ren, 37, an architect from Hong Kong, loves swimming, dancing, and above all, eating. We share a passion for classical music, the sauna, and a clean and tranquil home.

Our basement and first floor split level flat flat is located on a tree lined Victorian promenade, and has a huge private garden and terrace. We are a 10 min walk from Tufnell Park station and a 15 min walk from Kentish Town Station. The flat has a long tradition of being a multi national queer home, and we are looking for someone who warm and open minded, with experience in communal living and communication.

The rare large gardening project is undertaken together, but otherwise we have a 3 person rotating schedule of weekly house cleaning, and an alternating week cleaning of the bathroom you will share with Ren.

Officially, we have monthly house meetings at the local pub, but we also often casually have dinner together every two weeks or so. We have our own lives outside of the house but we also enjoy a cosy movie night (trilogies are a real fan favourite) at home or go to the pub together almost every week.

Our house is a work from the office or your room house, it’s important to us to keep the public spaces shared space, where we can maintain the tranquil environment and relax, either separately or together. Victor works in the office and Ren works from home. For the most part the TV and speaker in the living room are reserved for nights when we decide to watch something together, or we all want to put the music on. We sometimes have friends over for dinner (the rest of the house is often invited!) and birthday gatherings, but otherwise we leave serious partying for outside of the home.

The flat is rented by a private landlord who is very chill and responsive. We send the rent monthly to an agency who will conduct a background check (£50) and send the contract, but otherwise we deal directly with our landlord via WhatsApp. Deposit is 5 weeks rent, the bills including council tax come to about 140 each monthly.

The flatmate moving out is selling most of his furniture so if you need the room furnished you can speak to him during the veiwing.
