Hi, I have 1 double room available in a recently refurbished house. Whilst it is a live in landlord situation, I want it to be more of a house share, where everyone feels like it’s fully their home to enjoy. I lived in flatshares for years and was always lucky to have people I got along with so hoping to have something similar here. Rooms are for single occupancy but partners and friends welcome to stay as in any house share.
The room is available now but can be flexible on move in date as I know people have notice periods etc. I’m not insisting on any minimum term so there is flexibility if your circumstances change. I’m planning on renting the rooms for the foreseeable future so no reason why it can’t be a long term arrangement.
The house has 2 separate living areas so there will be space to socialise together but without being on top of each other. The rooms are also good sizes so a nice place to retreat to if you want some quiet time.
I’m laid back, friendly and tidy. I enjoy cycling, running, reading, visiting pubs & coffee shops, watching sport & documentaries. I visit my family in Crawley fairly regularly too.
I have worked in the legal industry for a number of years and have recently taken some time out to finish renovating the house and brush up my DIY skills.
The house has 3 bedrooms in total, the other room has now been let to Yasmine and I’ve copied her bio text below.
The house is in a good location in a quiet street in central Croydon, 0.4 miles from Wandle Park (and the tram stop), 0.9 miles from East Croydon Station, 0.5 miles from Waddon station and 0.7 miles from West Croydon station.
East Croydon gets you directly to London Bridge (15 mins), London Victoria (17 mins), Blackfriars (20 mins), Farringdon (25 mins), St Pancras (30 mins), Clapham Junction (10 mins).
West Croydon gets you directly to Shoreditch high street in 40 mins.
The house
Bedroom - a double with a large wardrobe. There is plenty of space for adding a chair or a desk depending on what suits you.
Bathroom - Brand new bathroom that is shared between 2 rented rooms, there is a separate toilet on the ground floor.
Downstairs there is an open plan kitchen/dining/reception room looking out onto the garden. The kitchen and appliances are brand new including an induction hob. I’m vegan but happy to share with those who aren’t. There is a separate living room with sofa and tv. (I have sofas on order so once they arrive the sofa in the living room will be moved to near the patio doors.)
The house has a brand new heating system (powered by a heat pump) and is well insulated so is nice and warm now the weather is getting colder. The ground floor has underfloor heating throughout.
Garden - there is a nice patio for when the summer comes round. The rest of the garden is currently a bit of a rewilding exercise but planning to get this into shape in time for the warm weather.
(As an FYI, there is currently no stairs carpet but there will be in due course.)

Yasmine - I'm Yasmine (46) a born Londoner to Irish/Mauritian parents.
I'm looking for a quiet and peaceful home (my partying days are long behind me unfortunately!) ideally with just one or two flatmates. I'd love an en suite bathroom but its not a deal-breaker. I very rarely drink alcohol and I don't eat red meat.
I work for a Government department as a project risk manager.
In my spare time I run as much as I can - I'm currently training for 2 Ultramarathons next year and a few half marathons. I also spend a lot of time with my family and friends.
I'm very quiet and clean but always up for a chat over a cup of tea! I start work pretty early so I'm not a night owl (although I often stay up past my bedtime doom scrolling 🤣).
